An Unforgettable Event

Every day 200 Australians attempt suicide. We come together to show that everyone and anyone can make a difference. Please join us to raise funds for much needed research and suicide prevention initiatives.

Our Mission

To raise much needed suicide awareness and education especially about the role each part of our society can play in prevention, and raise funds for research to provide a strong evidence base for change.

Our history

We are two Canberra-based Registered Nurses specialising in acute care and we became in 2018 concerned by the prevalence of suicide and mental health crises in the Canberra community. We set a mission to do all we could in our spare hours to make a difference.

The social enterprise, Suicide Awareness Campaign, was established with a voluntary board and management team in 2021.  We appreciate their efforts in supporting our mission.  Each year, the Campaign identifies community not for profits who directly make a difference in reducing suicide in the Canberra and surrounding community.

We work in friendly partnership with these wonderful organisations to organise an annual event and related activities that will benefit them.
